Shipping policy
Order Processing
Once we receive your order and payment, please give us up to 5 business days to process your order before we ship it. We are a small business dedicated to hand-making fresh and the highest quality candies and chocolates possible! Since we aren't Hershey's, please order far enough ahead so we can make your order as best as possible and by when you need it. The shipping times displayed at checkout are the shipping company's estimate on how long it will take them to ship your package and this does not include our processing time. Please review that all information submitted is complete and accurate (e.g. name and address). Any errors made to this information may result in delayed shipping and in order to fix any incorrect information a correcting fee will be charged.
Shipping
In order to make sure your products arrive in perfect condition, we do most of our shipments early in the week. We ship 2-day orders Monday-Wednesday, and overnight orders Monday-Thursday. Why do we not ship Friday-Sunday? Because having your package spend the weekend at a UPS office can cause one melty mess! If you are shipping your package to a warm weather destination, your package may be held over the weekend in order to make sure it spends less time in transit. During warm weather (80 degrees or more) we highly recommend selecting the overnight shipping option or your package may be subject to delay.
Please note GourminiS cannot be held responsible for damage to the packages (heat or otherwise) that may occur during shipping. We work hard to prevent any damage during transit; however, once the products leave our store, any damage that may occur is out of our hands. We are also not responsible for shipping delays caused by our shipping provider due to weather or any other circumstances beyond our control. Lastly, we are not responsible to packages not arriving or being shipped to the wrong address by fault of the shipping provider or if you input incorrect shipping information while placing your order.
Packaging
***If you do not choose 2 or 3 day shipping and the cold pack during checkout we cannot guarantee your candies will arrive without having melted.
Whenever you place an order to be shipped, a flat rate of $10 is added to the cart in order to cover cold pack shipping costs. During warmer months from April through October, the cold pack fee is not able to be removed from the cart as it it needed to guarantee the candies ordered do not melt. From November through March, you are able to remove the cold pack option from the cart. If you choose to remove this packaging we recommend that the shipping destination you provide is no warmer than 65 degrees but we always recommend keeping the cold pack shipping as we cannot guarantee that the package won't sit in a warm warehouse or truck and melt while in transit. We are not responsible for any damage or melting of the candies due to the shipping carrier.
Delivery Times For Businesses and Residences
UPS is our preferred shipping provider and they deliver during week days, and sometimes Saturdays (only if specified, also subject to additional shipping fees for Saturday delivery). Deliveries to businesses usually arrive between 8am and 5pm and deliveries to residences are usually between 9am and 7pm. Unfortunately, UPS cannot deliver to Post Office, military APO, or FPO boxes.
International Orders and Hawaii and Alaska
At the current time, we are unable to ship internationally. Furthermore, unless you contact us ahead of time to see if possible, we do not ship to Hawaii or Alaska.
When Will My Order Arrive?
Once we have processed and fulfilled your order, UPS will send a tracking number to you via email so that you can track your package and get an estimated arrival date. In order to ensure the best product possible, orders cannot ship over the weekend most of the time. Thus, standard shipment packages may be held until the following Monday in order to ensure minimal transit time.
